Many of the women I consulted for this project are mothers or soon to be mothers. Pine cones are the woody fruiting body of pine trees, and the female reproductive structure that contains seeds. The scales of the pine cone protect the seeds from weather and animals until they are mature and ready to explore.

Vinnie in Vermont is an ode to little girls, wild ladies, and mothers, who find joy out in nature.
