Bold, modern, nature-inspired art.

Founder of Cassie Camps Art, Cassie is a contemporary painter based in New England. Born and raised in Minnesota, she developed a deep connection to the outdoors at a young age — camping, exploring, and naturally gravitating toward greens and blues.

Cassie has honed her technical skills and developed a distinctive style characterized by bold cool colors, layered texture, and abstract forms. Currently, her work explores themes of water, coastal life, and outdoor recreation — inspired by kayaking, lake days, and the calm that comes from being near the ocean.

As a new mother, Cassie’s connection to the water has deepened. Her art now reflects the desire to share these spaces and memories with her son — creating work that celebrates family, presence, and the joy of experiencing the outdoors across generations.

Today, Cassie, her husband, their baby, and their Golden Retriever, Sunny, float between the studio, outdoor adventures, and travel — always gathering inspiration from nature, cities, and the people they meet along the way.

All are welcome here.

Using bold layers of blue and green, Cassie builds textured scenes that capture more than just nature — they hold stories. While rooted in the natural world, her paintings are not traditional landscapes. Collectors often say Cassie’s work helps them pause, feel joy, and reconnect with places and memories that matter.

Each piece begins with acrylic paint and evolves through layers of sand texture and oil pastel, bringing depth and storytelling. These materials allow her to highlight our environment and how we enjoy it: waves, champagne, pine trees, salt air, shorelines, and family.

As a self-taught artist from Minnesota, Cassie’s work has been shown at the Norwalk Oyster Festival and in several cafés across New Haven. She brings a fresh lens to the genre of nature art — one that invites the viewer to feel grounded, curious, and uplifted.
