Inspired by peaceful evenings kayaking along the New England coast with my husband and our dog — watching the birds, listening to the water, and slowing down with every paddle stroke. Created during early motherhood, this painting reflects the stillness, movement, and memories that life outdoors brings.

Inspired by Newport — especially the Cliff Walk, ocean breeze, and historic mansions overlooking the water — this painting captures the layered beauty and energy of coastal New England. Rich textures, oysters, deep blues, and coastal greens reflect evenings spent near the harbor and the feeling of slowing down beside the ocean. This piece went through many renditions before reaching its final form and became one of the most playful and exciting paintings for me to create in the collection.
